Daleville is located in Dale County, Alabama, approximately 20 miles northwest of Dothan and 90 miles south of Montgomery. The city is situated just south of Fort Rucker, a major U.S. Army post that is the primary flight-training base for Army aviation operations. Daleville is home to the U.S. Army Aviation Museum, a premier Alabama attraction that features a collection of more than 160 military aircraft. The museum is home to the largest collection of helicopters in the world and features an extensive library of books, manuals, photographs, and films relative to the history of aviation.
